One of five students invited to represent the United States at an international program involving 25 nations brought together under the mentorship of engineers, scientists, and leaders in the aerospace industry, to design their own Mission to Mars.
Designed and developed facial recognition software that could be used to identify individual Cercopithecus monkeys in Gombe National Park in Tanzania, East Africa -- ensuring proper attribution of data collected in the field. Machine learning, object detection, and image classification was used to deliver a web-based application that achieved an accuracy of over 99%.
